Project Starlight

Some of the animals here at Luna’s House require special care or above-and-beyond attention. We realize that they may be with us for the remainder of their lives, and as such we do everything we can to make their time with us the happiest, healthiest, and most fulfilling it can be. Whether because of medical, temperament, age-related, or aesthetic reasons, some of our furry, feathered, or scaled friends will likely call Luna’s House their forever home. These special animals are in a program called Project Starlight, an initiative to which all are welcome to contribute.

Providing appropriate ongoing care for our Project Starlight animals can prove costly both financially and emotionally. Nonetheless, when an animal comes to Luna’s House, bettering his or her life is our top priority. So whether an animal’s life is improved through adoption into a loving forever home or by living out his or her days in our care, we are committed to making every effort to ensure the best choices are made for each and every animal we serve.

You can help our Project Starlight animals by adopting one as your own—adoption fees are sometimes waived for adopters willing to provide loving homes and appropriate veterinary care, as needed.

You can also choose to sponsor a Project Starlight animal with either a one-time or a monthly donation to Luna’s House in his or her name. You will receive a Certificate of Appreciation for your sponsorship that can be framed and proudly displayed for all to see and know of your generosity!
